Cheramie is originally from the small German community of Muenster, Texas. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a major in Child Development and English minor in 1997. Then she completed her State Board of Education Certificate in 2003. She retired from 24+ years of teaching elementary school the summer of 2021 and is now pursuing her career as a litigation paralegal at Dankesreiter & Emmet, LLP.

In her free time, Cheramie enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric, and their 3 children Benjamin, Kathryn and Matthew. She enjoys traveling, boating at the lake, hiking, reading and gardening. She is also an active member and volunteer at St. Mark Catholic Church in Argyle.
